Parks and open spaces make a community a great place to work, live, and play. This proposition will add new trails throughout the city, improve some that already exist, and repurpose and revitalize the old Vista Ridge Athletic Complex and Amphitheater.

Lewisville’s goal is that every citizen lives within a 10 minute walk to a park. Purchasing additional land now will help the city achieve its goal, and make parks and open spaces available to all residents for play, enjoyment, and relaxation.

There currently are areas within Lewisville that are park deserts with no access for children to a playground. Voting for this proposition can help remedy this sad situation.
Glory Park, Lewisville’s newest neighborhood park under construction, is not part of this bond package, but is a good example of the city’s commitment to the goal of having a public park within a 10-minute walk for all residents.
